Daily Meditation

I am grateful to have been awakened this morning,
I am grateful to have been awakened in a warm shelter with everything I could possibly need and more,
I am grateful to have been awakened next to a loving, kind and supportive human,
I hope to give her the love, kindness and support she deserves and more,
I am grateful that we both labor in that which we love,
I hope that all can labor in that which they love,
I am grateful for our ancestors and our descendants, and hope to honor them with my life,
I am grateful for the kindred souls that surround us, and the love, support, joy, challenges and opportunities they bring us,
I hope to provide our family of kin with all that they bring to us and more.

I am grateful for our city, and I know how blessed and privileged I am to live here,
May I give San Francisco all that I can and more,
I am grateful for our beautiful state, and I know how blessed and privileged I am to live here and revel in it’s beauty,
May I give California all that I can and more,
I am grateful for the people of our nation and the opportunities they have provided my family,
May I give the people of our nation all that I can and more,
I am grateful for our planet, all that it has given us, and all that inhabit it,
May we come together to bring peace to every corner, and care for it in a manner that restores and revives all flora and fauna.

A special prayer for the abused, addicted, depressed, disabled, dying, enslaved, hopeless, hungry, hurt, incarcerated, marginalized, oppressed, sick, suffering, suicidal, traumatized, unhoused, victimized, violent, and the vulnerable,
May a conspiracy of love spring up around them, support them and heal them,
May they live in their potential and lead an inspired life,
And for those who cannot be supported or reached, please let them find happiness, peace and honor.

A special prayer for love,
Each day I remind myself to be one with love,
And I pray that love continues to shine upon my heart,
And that I may awaken love in the hearts of others.*
